Our fun trip to North Carolina

School ended on a Wednesday, we packed on that Thursday and headed to North Carolina on Friday. It was a long road trip, but such sweet time with family. The drive was totally worth it. We got to spend great time with my parents and several of my siblings. We filled the days with swimming, cousin activities, yummy meals, shopping, and lots of ice cream.

The boys quickly decided that Kilwins was their favorite spot at Birkdale Village. This picture was from our first night in North Carolina. So great to be together with family!

We visited a nature center one day and checked out some turtles.

My dad has a new job driving one of the show cars for a Joe Gibbs racing team. We visited the offices to see his new rig and got to see the M&M's car and trailer.

We ate at a Chick-fil-A Dwarf House

We filled up KK and Boompah's couch with all the cousins.

And naps were required most days!

Collins and Holden took pony rides on Mr. Socks.

We had fun at the bowling alley and arcade. KK is always fun!

We shopped at Gymboree and then dressed the cousins up as twins. Pictured are Collins and Finley, Carter and Cason.

We spent lots of time at the pool. I loved being with two of my three sisters.

We got a pretty good family picture!

One of the best evenings involved a Low Country Boil and delicious s'mores out at my brother Aaron's house. Here is most of the gang!

And then just the kids. 

But alas, we did have to eventually head home. On our trip home we stopped to eat at a Cracker Barrel and Carter asked me to take this picture for his friend Trevor. They are big fans of "da dux!"

Also on our trip home we stopped in Griffin, GA to see friends and family. Holden enjoyed playing with this mask.
