Kamp pictures for Connor

Connor started his term at Kamp in the Health Center, but recovered fairly quickly and had a great time. Here he is in action at K-Kountry.

Soccer Clinic - this must have been a header.
Eating his corn dog in a most unconventional way!
Man Day - attack the football dummy.
Having fun.
He came home very tan and his hair was much lighter.
Archery practice at the Western Party.

Highlights for Carter

It was Carter's first year as a Kamper and he made the most of his two weeks.

Delighted! He was so excited to be at Kamp.
This picture makes his body looks small and his head look large!
A chance to go fishing.
Representing the Cherokees in the Air it Out football championship.
Jumping off the boat to "storm the beach" for Man Day.
The Party Barn!

Highlights from K-Kountry

I thought I would pick five or six pictures for each boy just to show some highlights from their term at K-Kountry. In all of them, they look like they were having a great time!

Lunch on Man Day

Today at K-West was Man Day and lunch was CRAZY! The boys and counselors were already fired up, but then they played the song, "I'll Make a Man Out of You"... and the dining hall erupted. The K-West men have this funny tradition that whenever that song comes on they all begin lifting things, doing push ups, chin ups, etc. Basically they break out the muscles! I had my camera so I got some pictures!

This counselor was doing push ups...Carter jumped on for the ride.
Connor made his own barbell...two cookie bars on a fork...and began to work it out.
Collins handled all the testosterone very well. She enjoyed a bowl of cantaloupe.

Six Flags St. Louis

On our last 24 (well, actually it was more of a 34) we drove to St. Louis and took the kids to Six Flags. Last year Hunter, Connor and Carter did the Six Flags Read to Succeed program that earned them a free ticket to the park. And what were the valid dates you ask? June 18 - August 12...all while we are at K-West. So my adventure-loving and awesome husband said, "Let's go for it!" It was actually a great trip. In so many ways I saw God's faithfulness with the details of this trip. Thank you Lord for protection, safe travel, good weather, that we didn't lose any kids, etc. Here are a few picture highlights from this trip.

Six Flags is connected to Hurricane Harbor and with the admission to Six Flags, you get free admission to the water park. So we started our day there. Colton enjoyed the wave pool.
Gazing in wonder at the giant funnel water ride!
Preparing to ride the awesome water funnel!
This was a fun ride that all the boys loved.
We nearly got eaten by a shark. Whew, that was a close call!

Funny Connor!

We ate lunch at Pizza Hut on Thursday and Connor did this....it made me laugh! Isn't he clever to cover the "s" on that sign?
