Father/ Son Canoe Trip

This is the weekend for the annual Father/ Son Canoe Trip. The excitement was high in the Rapp house as Todd and the four oldest boys packed and prepared for the weekend. I, on the other hand, kept asking, "Are you sure you want to go?" The weather forecast was filled with rain, cold and even some snow. But Todd is a fantastic dad and knowing how much the boys looked forward to this weekend, he was excited and willing to take them. The car was PACKED as they pulled out of the driveway this morning. I am sure they will have fun, I just hope they stay fairly dry and warm. And that they eat at least one healthy food during the trip. Before they left I hugged each of the boys and told them to stay safe and to look out for one another. Hunter hugged me and said, "Don't worry mom" and "I cleaned the bathroom upstairs." He knows how much I like things clean! I will spend the weekend at home with Collins and Holden. We may get out once to run an errand. But I will enjoy the quiet and prepare myself for the piles of wet, dirty laundry that will arrive home on Sunday!
