Five of the Rapp kids hanging out in the tennis courts. Collins doesn't look real happy.
Here we go - a happy Collins. Things must be going her way!
The Rapp boys at Washington on the Brazos - the birthplace of Texas. This is the site where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed on March 2, 1836. If you live in Texas, you have to know some of this history! And yes, it was definitely warm enough for shorts on this February day.
A distant picture, but Bronwyn, Holden and Collins in front of the same site. Here is the whole gang of Rapp and Morris kids. Back row: Hunter, Mark, Colton, Maddox and Mason. Front row: Micah, Holden, Collins, Carter and Connor.
I was learning about the kitchen. It was a separate building away from the house to try and keep the house cool. That had to have been hot, hard work! I've often told Todd that I wish I could have lived during the pioneer days. Can you picture me working in this kitchen? I think I would miss hot showers the most!
Collins spent several minutes playing with the baby dolls in the master bedroom. Here she was putting the baby to bed.
Learning how to work with tools on the farm. It was so neat that the kids could try things!
Connor taking a bit of a risk here - petting the shorthorn cow.
During our weekend we also got ice cream. We were very close to Brenham, TX which is where Blue Bell ice cream is made. That's our favorite!
Collins liked her chocolate ice cream.
This cute guy was on the trip too. He had just woken up so his eyes look a little sleepy. This is where we "camped out" this weekend so you can tell that we definitely weren't roughing it in a tent.
