Whittle while you work...

After our weekend in the country, two of our boys came home with walking sticks. They both wanted to take the bark off their walking sticks so they have been busy whittling in between their school work. Todd asked the boys to use a sock or glove to protect the hand that wasn't holding the knife...but Carter had his "sock glove" on the wrong hand (as you can see). Today when I went outside to check on the boys I found Carter hard at work...

and Collins, who apparently wanted to get in on the whittling as well. She had a sock on one hand and a pocketknife - but no blades were out. Thank goodness!
