Here are a few updates from Houston. Unfortunately Colton's team did not win their playoff game. They lost by just one touchdown. He was sad, but the sadness didn't last long.
We had our first taste of cold weather in Houston when this week the temperatures dipped into the lower 40s one night. We even turned on the fireplace!
We FINALLY made it to the library. Truly this was something I thought we would do within our first week of being in Houston, but several factors kept us from discovering the Houston Public Library system until this week. Turns out we have a fantastic library less than a mile from our house. I got my library card and we checked out books the very same day!
We had our first guest over to the house for dinner. It was actually Chris Ayers, the new youth pastor at Grace and it is his family that is letting us live in this house. So we basically invited him over to his own house. Ha!
Now for some pictures! This picture is from the Grace Bible Church staff retreat that Todd went to last week. We never like it when Todd has to be away from the family, but he said that this time to play and plan with the rest of the GBC staff was so beneficial. How thankful I am that Todd is loving his job at GBC and the people he works with!
Todd got to experience "dam surfing" at the retreat. He seems to be a natural at almost any activity on the water and this was no exception. He kept his footing all the way down, on his first try!
And this picture is a few weeks old, but it is just too good not to include. Todd and Hunter attended a Father/ Son Retreat at T Bar M camp near Austin. They had a great time together.
P.S. Holden is sitting up and eating baby food! I have pictures, but it is too late to upload them tonight. They will be coming to the blog very soon.
