In celebration of the end of cross country, TCS hosted a breakfast for all the current members of the team and prospective members for next year's team. Each time we get to gather with TCS families I am so thankful for the community that the Lord has provided for us here in Houston. We are blessed to be pursuing Jesus and classical education alongside so many wonderful families. The coaches gave each runner a certificate of character recognition. Connor received the Spirit Award.
Mr. Woods eloquently presented Hunter with the Pheidippides Award - for displaying grit and never quitting.
Then, the highlight of the breakfast, was when the cross country team members got to put a shaving cream pie in the face of each coach.
Which, of course, turned into a shaving cream fight among the students. Most of them looked like this by the end.
